Teeling Whiskey Co. Platinum Reserve
This vintage reserve from the Teeling Whiskey Company is a 30-year-old single malt Irish whiskey that packs quite a punch. This release is believed to be the oldest bottling of Irish single malt released.
According to the company, “the whiskey has inherited a huge amount of character over its 30-year journey leading to a complex floral nose with deeply layered flavors and a long rich luxurious finish.” It also won the Gold Outstanding award in the 2014 International Wine & Spirit competition. It’s limited to only 250 bottles and is averaged at $2,000 a bottle.
Jameson Rarest Vintage Reserve (Blended)
This Irish Whiskey blend was matured in a sweet, raisiny port pipe, which created its fruity, spicy, and sweet taste. It’s crafted from Jameson’s vintage reserve of the company’s oldest and rarest whiskeys.
The taste and packaging of this reserve won double gold at the 2011 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and was named ‘Irish Whiskey of the Year’ on two occasions by Malt Advocate magazine. It’s averaged at $485 a bottle.
